2nd Generation Crap!! >< new problem

OK.

i changed out the bulbs on my instrument cluster b/c one of them was burned out.

Now the turn signals don't work. the Emergency lights flash. but the turn signals don't. i took the cluster out again to see if i disconnected something, but everything seems to be ok, and all the lights seem to contact the board.

any thoughts?

I'd like to get this resolved ASAP, b/c i don't want to be the @$$hole that cuts people off w/ out signaling. Especially at night

Problem solved.

Really odd too. after i got back from the dealer, i decided to swap out the bulb from the 'PWR' indicator to the 'O/D' indicator, and i put the burned O/D bulb to where the PWR bulb was.

after re-assembling the cluster panel, and the switches, to my surprise, the turn signal worked again o.O

so... apparently, having one of the gear select guage bulbs off board breaks the circuit to the turn signal switch?!? weird o.O

there ya go.

dont complain about toyota electrical until youve expereinced VW electrical - why use motors when you can use vacuum actuators?

anyways, good job...now go to the junk yard and pocket a few bulbs to replace the burned out ones.
