Got a bad wheel bearing on a 88 3SFE. I've been replacing parts from a junk yard for a few years now just to see how far/how cheap it will go. I'm at 515k miles as we speak.

What year groups can I use for front hubs? I know 88-91 are good, but can I use later model Camrys also? I found out the hard way that V6 hubs and spinndles are not the same size. A hub goes for about 15 dollars at the yard and all the donors have around 150-225k miles.

No, you're not a cheap bastard. I've been keeping my Yotas going on primarily scrap yard parts for years...I was such a good cusotmer that they gave me a job last year and now I get my parts free!

It doesn't make sense to spend huge cash on new parts for such an old car...and congratulations, by the way, on your mileage. 515,000 miles! I think that may just be a near-record for this forum...

As for the hub assemblies, check www.rockauto.com on the catalogue for part numbers. Check yours and see if they match the gen3 part numbers. I don't think they're compatible, though.
