hey everyone, i just purchased a 91 ES250 for 700, 96k miles, perfect interior. anyways i've been searching CL and they told me to come here for questions. i searched about 20 pages but have too many questions. what parts are interchangable from the 250 and camry? suspension, engine, etc. i kind of wanna make the es250 a mini-VIP ride.
might eb cheaper to sell and buy an es250... ever thought about that.
basically the same car so most is interchangable, but the es got the better interior etc.

Having just bought an ES250 motor for my V6 Camry, I can confirm that everything on the engine is exactly the same. The ES250 came with a front strut tower brace, but other than that they're twins. All interior is different except for the guage cluster. Body panels are all different. Brakes and suspension are twins.

oh I have a ES250, but im thinking about dropping it and whatnot, and since i dont really know anything about the Es250 and camry i was wondering which camry suspension parts i would be able to use on the Es. So basically everything is the same xcept interior? i'll post piks of my $700 Es250 tomorrow.
Put the suspension from a 4 cylinder Camry on it if you want a drop, since the ES is definitely heavier than one. The added weight from the Lexus on the springs that were made for a Camry will make it low. No more quick maneuvers for you though. Please post pics, look what I found: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/280883385.html
well since i dont wanna start another thread asking more crap, i've been reading stuff about turboing a 2vzfe and whatnot, has it been done? pics of it?
also im planning on getting these wheels by the end of the year following a nice drop.
do you guys think 18" with +34 offset on 7.5" wide is okay? heres the charting http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/...i?modelName=DE
oh and im just planning at the moment, might sell the ES and get an LS or bigger 4 door sedan
HomeGrown, yeah haha he said he doesnt have any pictures either. I hate sellers who are vague in their postings. JOee, I'd get an LS man, parts are plentiful and people actually know about it, unlike the ES250 (if you count Camry parts).
Yeah, that's it! Sell your ES to me, and get an LS!!! Perfect!

haha i might plan to sell in a month or so today imma smog it. turns out the lady didnt drive the car for two years because it smokes alot when she drove it. we found out it was because of a a leaky power steering hose that dropped oil on the exhaust piping and because they redid the head and didnt screw the valve covers down completely. the speedo stopped working so and the mileage reads 96K but im sure thats the right mileage because it hasnt been drivin in two years, hell she still had the 04/05 stickers in the baggy.
