later 90-91 tailights on early 87-89 possible?

i might be able to get a set of later model camry tailights and was wondering if it will bolt right up on my early 89 model. i prob have to reroute the bulbs. i just need to know if it will bolt up before i take them off.

It should work dude, it'd be pretty stupid of Toyota for them not to keep the same tail light dimensions. If it doesn't work out just Craigslist them. Are the 90-91s smooth as opposed to the 87-89, which have ridges? I've seen both types on both year ranges...

Weird.

The tailights on my 88 are smooth. My uncle had a 91 which have the ridges/bumps.

Position of the parking light and blinker are swapped. On my 88 the blinker is on top and on the 91 its on the bottom. Slight cosmetic changes.
