I have a 90 3S-FE Camry with 91K which I'd like to keep a long while (got it from the mother in law in 2001). I see nothing in the owner's manual or the shop manuals about when to switch out the water pump. Should I have that done while it is in for PA inspection this week or if I understand correctly from some of the posts, is that an expensive amount of work to reach? I just had the timing belt replaced and now it sounds like that was the time to change it.
While I'm at it, should I ask them to change any fluids beyond what I've had done already (brake, oil, coolant and tranny?). I'm far from an expert but it sounds like things such as steering gear housing oil, automatic transaxle fluid, power steering fluid and front differential fluid bear changing as a preventative measure. Or am I being paranoid?
