Whats a fair price for my 1989 Camry wagon LE V6 w/ 160k. It runs great and the interior is super. The body is average or above. I will get some pictures up. Let me know at steve@autobidness.net
My gut was telling me around $1500-$1800, but it's all about first impressions and what the car looks like. KBB sez $2465 for "good" condition, private-party pricing. Seems a tad high, but I guess that's to be considered a fair price. They list $2795 for "exellent" condition, and $2055 for "fair" condition.
I just got a "fair" condition '90 wagon with good interior and body, 363k miles, for free. And it runs & drives good.

I'm still really jealous over that one, you know... Nice basketweaves, too.

Honda my A$$, you just can't kill a Yota...
As mention, that would go around $1.8K ish for most people. Again, depending on the condition, you could go selling it higher and hope somebody who really wants that V6 and LE with the wagon. I don't see a lot of wagons here with V6 LE.
All I can say, if it has basketweaves, some folks here might go nuts, lol.
And yes, a picture can tell a lot.

Yeah, it looks to be in pretty good shape. Consider replacing that rusty fender (dark blue is a fairly easy colour to match), and it'll bring the resale up some. Also: go to a u-pull-it yard and get a piece of trim for that p/s rear quarter panel. Cheap part, and it should inspire more confidence in a potential buyer.
But what's with the interior? I've only ever seen that fabric on the bottom-of-the-line Camrys (and Corollas, and Tercels, and Celicas, and trucks, etc). I wonder if someone replaced it at some point? The LE trim level usually got the plush velour-like fabric.

Really nice.
The interior...I believe that is an unbadged model. There was three trim levels in the Gen2 with the unbadged, DX, and LE. From the rubber bumpers and interior, I believe this is the unbadged or DX. I have seen all three trim level with V6 as an option.
I agree with the rusty fender, it will definally raise resale a bit if replaced...and confidence.
That's the exact interior of my wagon, which is a DX. Although I personally don't like them, a set of cheap wheelcovers from Wal-Mart will appeal to most buyers.
Wow, the learning just never stops for me. In Canada, we only had one trim level for the V6 Camrys: the LE trim. That's why I've only ever seen them with the plushy interior (soo...comfy). It all makes sense now.
The only thing left to figure out is what models got the electronic guage cluster displays... I've only seen one, and it was on a base-model 88 model.

I've been seeing this broken down Gen 2 Camry wagon along I-75 this week (looks like something in the front suspension has broke). Anyway, on the back it says V6LE, not just V6 like the one pictured here.

Yeah, that's how they all came for us here in Canada. Both the sedans and the wagons with the V6 option were all sold as LE models. The real question: is it a 5-speed?!?!?!

Wow, I didn't even think about that! I came close to stopping and looking at it this afternoon on the way home, and leaving a note on it. I noticed today that it doesn't appear to be anything more than a flat tire. If it's still there next week, I will definately stop.
