A 3S-GTE swap would probably be a piece of cake compared to attempting that swap.
You could probably buy a brand new Camry for what that swap would cost.

That would be your best bet as far as your camry is concerned. If you want more power but can't afford the 3SGTE, then you could probably do a 2VZ-FE swap. Then if you want to, you can turbo the 2vz (which would be a piece of cake) and then you have some exclusivity. It all boils down to how much money you are willing to pour out to make the dream a reality.

Well then the hard part is already over! Seriously, PM Brandon (aka Toysrme.) He knows everything about the VZ engine. You'll be able to get accurate answers from him regarding anything. I would keep that engine and do all your modifications there IMHO.

The reason why I said the turbo 2vz would be exclusive would be because there are already a few Gen2 Camry's that have had the 3SGTE swap. I forget everything that you would need but I know you would need to fabricate mounts, get a ecu, i know i'm missing a lot but that's basically what you would need. If you have the auto trans, you would probably need to swapt that as well. Like I said, just PM toysrme about the modifications you want to do.

i was thinkin about it buh my engine is very old even tho it runs good, i never thought about turbo and power till i came to TN lol, i read this thing showing that i can push 230 im not sure if thats @ the most http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=25068
why would i need to swap the auto tho, i want the car auto lol, or do u mean the 5 speed tranny would be better? engines got 267000KM on it, someone said if i rebuilt it, then it would be better to put a turbo on it

I dont think you would be able to boost on stock internals

let me rephrase that, I don't think you could use a lot of boost on stock internals

I'd jump right on that deal if you think the swap is "easy" and can get it done for free.

i would love to see someone cram an i6 engine and rwd transmission and convert the car to rwd....will it ever happen? not likely.

If you think its easy, by all means go for it, you be basically redesigning the car from the ground up, but that shouldnt be too difficult.

it would seem so. it should be put in a stickie somewhere! jk

but seriously. maybe if information on engine swap is put in a stickie in the gen 1&2 specific forum instead of just the general camry forum might be a good idea?
