AC Idle-up

Hello, I've owned a '94 Corolla and a '89 Celica for quite a while, and just recently added a '90 Camry. The Camry is a 4-cyl auto. This problem is shared by the '89 Celica.

The engine does not seem to be able to idle up for the AC, causing the AC to kick off when sitting. I've been told that this is most likely the VSV valve. I called the dealership, and he found the Idle Up Actuator for $48. Does this sound like the correct part to fix the problem? The part is the same between the Celica and the Camry...

If the part is the same might just switch it and see, should not be very hard. I think you should be able to bypass the VSV by jumping the hoses then seeing if the idle picks up. The VSV is just an electrically controlled valve.

Okay, so it sounds like the dealer gave me the right part. I wonder if the one on my Corolla is the same part? Because it works...that would be a really easy way to troubleshoot. Does $48 sound about right?
