Help Changing Headlight Bulb on 1990 Camry

My headlight just went out on the passenger side of my 1990 Camry and I was hoping someone had some tips on how to change it easily and what bulb to use. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
Thanks

It unscrews to the left and pulls right out. A black nut holds it in place then just pull the bulb out.

I just pushed my cruise control module over, slightly bending the bracket that bolts to the engin bay - it absolutely does not harm the cruiser control operation and looks 100% "unbent" to most people. It makes it a lot easier to change the bulbs.

Make sure when putting new headlights in that you do not touch the glass part of bulb otherwise the oil residue from your hands can cause the bulb to overheat and burn out prematrurely. If you must touch the glass, clean the bulb off with rubbing alcohol before your installation.

I HAVE A QUESTION myself: you know the 'twist cap' thingies that secure the headlight bulb to the headlight housing, mine does not fit snug on there so every time I twist it on, it just comes lose (actually it never is tight!) right away and slips off and just basically dangles from the wiring harness...it doesn't keep my bulbs in the housing, but thank got my bulbs stay put by themselves. What the hell is up with this? Should I get new twist caps or....just curious as to how that can even happen...does the damn plastic grow over time or something? lol

I've never had a problem getting access even with cruise control unit in place so I'm not sure why you would need to bend it away. As far as it fitting snug does your screw in caps still have the rubber gasket inside of them? If they are missing that could be your problem why it isn't snug.

AHH that's it. Thank you very much for replying! Yeah I bought this car a few months back so I didn't know what the screw-on caps were supposed to look like. Mine does not have the rubber gaskets! I guess I'll have to look into that.

I just hate things in my way, even if it's not so much in my way it just bugs me. I guess it's a little obsessive compulsive.
