I got the mounting kit and wiring harness from Wal-Mart. It wired up in about 5 minutes but even though I hooked up the power antenna wire correctly, for some reason the antenna is stuck up now...it's the CD players fault, after all it's just one of those cheap Wal-Mart CD players.

I have a kenwood exceleron KDC-789 or something like that, and the factory mounting bracets actually fit my cd player,, but I don't know what color wires are what in the toyota any help there?
I just put the el-cheapo Wal-Mart unit in my car that has the SD, USB, and aux. input. Nice unit for the price. The connector I got out of my beater wagon, but it looks like the typical Wal-Mart connector. The wagon also had the Wal-Mart type mounting bracket, but thankfully I didn't have to use it. If you're installing a single DIN height head unit, the holes already in the OEM bracket should line up with holes in the side of the head unit, you will just need some very short M6 screws.
I can't help you with the wiring colors, but I have seen the pinout posted here before, so you might find it if you do a search. Also, most aftermarket plug-in harnesses have the wires identified.
You don't need a mounting kit, however there is a pocket you can buy. It fills in the space underneath the headunit since the factory unit is double din.
