2nd Generation wheels offset questions and camber!?!

hey all, has anyone ever experimented with some negative camber and low offset on any 91 camry? Basically, what is the lowest or even negative offset you could go with, because im thinking if ditching my wheels and getting something along the line of Weds, Works etc with a FAT lip.

you probbly mean the highest offset possible... you can get - offset but the wheel will probbly be sticking out of the car like in low rider cars.

i just need a different wheel, sticking with 17" but that has a 2"-3" lip like this one:

and when the camry is lowered to no fender gap and leveled, this type of camber achieved in the rear:

this camber will naturally happen due to lowering the car this much right? This is the look I want or close to it. that rear camber is sexy looking. imo

My Camry is almost that low (even in the front and about one finger gap in the rear)... And I have -0.5* chamber in the front and -1.0* in the rear. Sorry, without chamber plates on the top and chamber bolts you won't be able to get much chamber. Macpherson strut suspensions don't react with much chamber when lowered.

It would SUCK to drive with the suspension setup that way, unless you like replacing tires every few thousand miles.

btw, I give you props for thinking outside the general gen2 Camry box... but you'll have to get pretty creative to get the look you are looking for...

lowering

could you possibly post up pics of your ride? Right now with intrax, you can tell that I have a little camber in the rear, not much though, if i can drop it lower it might improve.

Since I wont get that much camber from what you say I could just rool the fenders and space out the wheels with spacers to get a wider stance

This is the best one I have uploaded right now:

I'll try to get some better pics up tomorrow... I have to take a picture of the broken axle (now repaired, oh yeah!) too...

getting the camber that far off will screw up the angles real bad and wear the inside of the tires off quick

2nd Generation

fair enough, BUT...I will slam the car, and insted of using that wicked camber I like so much, i can space out the rear with spacers, to get the wide and low look, whilst maintaining tire integrity, who knows, tire stretching might even be in order. It may not be 100% vip standards, but it'll work for me. my rims are 17x7.5 now and the front is FLUSH but I still have a solid inch possible inch and a half before the rear is flush.
