1988 camry EFI/ECU problem?

I have a 1988 Camry with 2.0 DOHC and Auto trans. The problem I have is the car will start, but only run for a few seconds. The code I got by bridging the efi terminals told me, acording to the haynes repair manual, that either 1.The efi relay was bad, 2. The main ecu relay was bad, or 3. The ecu had a problem. The two relays are good. I forgot to mention that the fuel pump only comes on with the key in the start position, not in the run position, and as soon as you release the key back to the run position, the pump shuts off again. Now, I tried running a toggle switched hot wire directly to the pump to turn it on, but that didn't work either, still just dies out after a few seconds. Any help would be appreciated. The code is two flashes of the check engine light.

And if neither circuits have faults does that mean I have to replace the ECU?

I would suggest to attach pos. probe of the digital voltmeter to wht wire with red tracer near ECU (there are 2 wires, so do one at the time), clip negative voltmeter probe to the good ground, then attempt to start the engine. If the engine dies while power is still present check the plug in connectors to ECU. If the engine dies and voltage goes to 0, download the electrical a wiring schematics and check.
The ECU seldom goes bad.

Is there another way to access the diagrams? My computer isn't downloading them for some reason.
