2nd Generation New leads. Stupid price???

Might need to replace my leads.
So, got a price check on them, and even with a friends trades discount, they are $140 AUD including dizzy cap.

Is it me, or is this a fairly high price for leads???
Any place (maybe online) I can get them for cheaper?

Thanks

If those are the OEM wires, that sounds about right. They work much better and last longer than almost any aftermarket equivalent.

Na, thats not a bad price at all. 140AUD - $115 USD for toyota oem is the way to go. grab the rotor button too, shouldnt be more than $5-6.

Although the bosche replacement ones arent bad either. probably can get those cheaper.

Just be glad you dont drive a 16v VW. OEM ones are $400!!

You can get them cheaper elsewhere, and i would. Maybe toyota OEM is the very best in all the land, i suppose. But to me, the old saying holds, "'Perfect' is the enemy of 'good enough'"!!!
Spetzx you dont say the year or engine so i'll assume for purpose of argument, 1990/4 cylinder? I didn't price the can and rotor but you can use the link to find it easily enough. Not sure what shipping would be, but surely you can find it at an equal price or cheaper in your country?
(Australian dollar as of today converts almost equally into american ditto (1 US dollar = 1.027 AUD). )

I got some aftermarket leads from Repco for around that price, so it sounds right, I prefer the aftermarket ones because you can buy the cap and leads seperately.

Before I bought them I looked on ebay.. heres a few..

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-CAMRY-...QQcmdZViewItem

If you buy an aftermarket one you can use these..

But toyota ones come with the leads and cap joined.
