Australia Shudder When Changing Gears?

Around 4 months ago I got a new front engine mount because my current one was looking quite poor, I thought this was the reason for the shudder when I change gears but I'm thinking more like it could be that the gear fluid needs changing.

My front engine mount is also back to looking like the old one did which could have something to do with it? I haven't checked my rear engine mount yet but I suspect that could be worn putting most of the pressure on the front engine mount damaging that more?

So is the car shuddering when I change gears a sign of low gear fluid? maybe old gear fluid? or are there some engine mounts that I've missed that could cause these symptoms?
I suspect it might of been 2 years since it was last changed, so I plan on doing it anyways.

Stick, happens after changing in like 1st, 2nd.

I pretty much know what it would be, just wondering if anyone had experienced the same.

What kind of shudder? Could be your clutch, engine/tranny mounts, or even your suspension bushings. 4cyl 87/88 have a crappy mount design imo, and I like the 89-91 a lot more. There's a total of 5 mounts, two on the tranny, and 3 for the engine.

Does it shudder when you move the shifter, or when you release the clutch pedal? Keep your hand on the shifter and feel for any movement while pushing the clutch in and out while driving. If the engine mounts are really lose, you'll see it bounce around.

It could also be a Hard spot on your flywheel. I had the same problem with my 90 camry right before I found out my Clutch was going.
What happens is that the flywheel gets way to hot because the clutch isn't engaging/disengaging correctly, it melts the flywheel (a very small portion of it) and then it melts back, creating a bump or a hot spot on it.

replace the clutch, get your flywheel surfaced.

But, make sure thats what it is first
