1st & 2nd Generation (1983–1986 & 1987-1991)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1983-1986 & 1987-1991.
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
On cars that don't have a hole in the firewall, I typically run the power cable out the back of the dash on the drivers side and under the door hinge. There's always a spot above the top door hinge where you can get under the hood and run it along the top of the fender.
As far as the ground goes, you want to place that as close to the amp as you can. Just find any bolt that won't look bad if you rub the paint off. Then bolt the ground to it and apply some silicon sealant to keep the rust away.

in your driver side fender well there's an orange grommet you can shove your power wire into the car.
Yup, big enough to safely put 0 gauge wire through (yes, I know first hand!). Zip tie it to the stock harness that runs behind the fender (remove the plastic fender liner to see) and then run it into the engine bay below the fuse box or through the opening next to the airbox. Make sure you put a correctly sized fuse near the battery.

After that do I just run the wire underneath the carpet and wedge it through the backseat?
Pull all the trim at the base of the doors, pull back the carpet and you will see a plastic wiring harness protector. Run it through there next to the stock wiring harness (I had plenty of room for 4-gauge wiring on my current Camry). Removing the rear seats is quite easy - you can run the wire in from the corner of the trunk at the base of the seats or up around near the trunk hinge (below/behind the seatbelts) depending on where you mount your amp. If you do it right, it will be fully protected and out of the way - nobody will know it is there.

^ Thats under the hood. The 2nd picture shows a hole with a plastic grommet, run the power cable thru that hole and it'll go into the fender. In the picture I posted, you can see that the hole leads into the fender.
Remove the front drivers side wheel and wheel well liner. Look for a big orange grommet.
Took a while but I did it! One problem: my remote doesn't unlock and lock the doors anymore . I hear the relay clicking but the lock don't move. Could this be a motor problem or a wire in the drivers kick panel?
