USA Radiator

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a 88 Camry LE 4 cylinder automatic with 400,000 miles on it, original motor, the only thing I've had to change is the tranny and I put a factory new one in. The motor still runs like it came off the showroom floor.

I'm looking for some advice on a new radiator, a good one. I live in So. California and it reaches the low 100's. Is there any particular radiator that is good quality but not super expensive that would suit my needs for hot humid weather conditions? The one that's in it now is just falling apart. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Mike

I like the Toyota radiators, and you can usually find a decent one in a wrecking yard if you don't want to spend on new parts. I wouldn't worry too much. I've some junk radiator in mine since I got it, and it's never gotten hot, even going up miles on 10% grades in 100 degree weather.

If the pump and fan(s) are working, these cars won't overheat.

400k miles! They only get better with age. Mine's got 359k miles.

Samsung is the good one in terms quality/fit, stay away from Performance brand.
CSF works ok, but it needs bracket mods and does not have drain, just plug.

Thank you so much for the info! So what is better a ONE ROW, ALL METAL or a TWO ROW, ALL METAL radiator. Does one cool better than the other?
