There are several places in the wiring to put in a fuel kill switch. The safest place to wire in a kill switch would be on the ground side of the fuel pump. It would be a white/black wire coming from the top of fuel tank under the rear passenger seat. You could put your kill switch anywhere you want, as long as you know where it is. I've been known to pull the cruise control button from wrecking yard camry's for this kind of purpose. You could wire it with a relay that would stay on as long as long there is continous power, but would need to be reset each time you start the car.

Its just basically interupting the power source going into the fuel pump. I suggest cutting the postitive side but negative/ground might also work. Depending on where you want to mount it, you can tap into the wire since it goes from the rear to the front.

If you already have power locks .... look at this one, I may be getting one for my 90 DX and F150. It has a starter dissable built in when it is armed, don't see why you couldn'g configure it to disable the pump instead. http://www.commandocaralarms.com/ite...?ProductID=509

Look over that site .... they have the relays also and some installation instructions you can download to figure out if it is something you want to play with.

This relay is a very appropriate and commonly used automotive relay for such applications. That website sells it for $4.95 as a "starter disable" relay, but there's really nothing application-specific about this type of relay. If you know what you're doing, this relay and a hidden switch is all you need.

Personally? I would recommend a starter disable switch over a fuel pump kill switch. It offers your car a LOT more protection using the very same parts. The reason being, if someone does manage to break into your car they can still get it started briefly, possibly just long enough to get it out into the middle of the street. Then they may sit there and crank it to death to try and get it going again. Why give someone the opportunity to even crank it?

Here's a how-to site that does a pretty good job of explaining how to hook it up. The instructions show a Honda, but the starter-kill is pretty much universal to any car.

Because you can push-start a car if it has a M/T...

If I do a hidden kill switch, it will kill the fuel pump. The car won't start without the fuel pump, even for a very quick second unless the car was just turned off.

Didn't think about the m/t flaw in that thinking.

I thought the car would run for several seconds without the fuel pump, just from residual pressure in the fuel system. When I was at a boneyard getting a cold-start injector, I took one off a car that had obviously been there for at least several months, and there was still pressure in the fuel system when I took off the banjo fitting. I was pretty surprised to see that.

I don't see why .... you just need a relay to kill the power to the pump. That can be the same one that was posted above. You just want to make sure you hook it up so it is energized when the circuit is closed so you don't drain the battery when the car is parked and the kill is activated. You should also be able to wire it all up under the dash ... just find the fuse for the pump and switch that line .... but then you could just wire a switch there also. The reason I suggested the security system is because it is harder to find to bypass than just a switch is to find .... or not find when letting someone else use the car. Whenever the security system is activated, that relay is killing power to the starter .... or pump in your case ... when deactivated by the fob ... drive as normal.

The car will run for about 1 second (if that) with the fuel pump power off. No body is going anywhere with the car with the pump off. Tap into the fuel pump power wire running along the driver’s side rocker panel. You can use a relay or not. A simple on/off switch hidden somewhere will do. Hide the switch well, as thieves are wise to these things, yet also don’t want to spend a lot of time looking and will move on. Might even put in a couple of dummy switches just to frustrate their efforts.
