Gen1 3 power windows dont work, driver works, all others motors work

hey guys just bought an 85 camry, it has power locks, power windows, power sunroof. The driver window goes up and down, doesnt go down automatically like its supposed to tho, and also the other windows dont go up or down at all, but when you apply direct current to them, the windows do go up and down, so the motors are fine, i think its something electrical? or maybe a fuse? i checked and all fuses look good tho. Any help is really really appreciated!

not sure if this is all related, but the cig lighter doesnt work, and also sometimes when i have the headlights on at night, the instrument cluster goes off by itself. And also sometimes i put on the blinker and the whole gauge cluster blinks with it.....same thing happens when i hit the brakes, this doesnt happen often but does every now and then.

ok if ya chek the door jam you might find the problem with the windows this is where i found my similar problem .the wires had broken . as far as the lights on the dash .
check for coroded wire perhaps in the chargin system . im thinkin that the car might not be able to keep up with itself . thats just my first thought though.

I checked the door jambs, all look good, is there a fuse that could have gone? I also found 1 harness clip disconnected, but cant find where to connect it to, its in the kickpanel, ill take pics.

The disconnected clip is the most likely problem. After that I vote for a broken ground wire to the drive door switches. Find the wiring diagram in the manual and start tracking down the wires in the driver door. Establish which are grounds (I believe that there are at least two) and run a temporary ground straight to the harness. If that solves it then you need to reroute a ground through the rubber hose near the hinges (a pain but it can be done). If not you will need to start running resistance checks from each switch to its corresponding motor. However, the fact that so many are messed up leads me to believe that it is a problem common to all of them.

Let us know!

Sounds like a switch. Does it have a child proofing switch on the drivers door? Change it. bypass it to check it, if it fails change it. I'd go junkyard.
