nothing really actually........
well....there's a slight noise that I hear at around 40 mph that my buddy/mechanic tells me is the driver's side axle bearing. In order to get to it, you have to crack open the SOB, so I figured I would just put a boneyard tranny in, they go for around $200......But to be honest, my mechanic says it's not a big deal and that the noise doesnt effect anything and the tranny will most likely go for a long long LONG time regardless
Also, when I checked the fluid level on it the other day underneath the car(unfortunately the 5 speeds dont use dipsticks), I accidently over-tightened the fill plug too much and put a slight crack in it, but thanx to good ole' JB Weld, all is well...plus the crack occured above the fluid level line, so it doesnt leak gear oil regardless.
So...Im gonna keep the original tranny in the car until absolutely necessary
I get bored of cars.....so maybe Im gonna sell her and pick up a little 5 speed Paseo....Im still deciding....The Cam runs so good though, and the A/C is ice cold!....this is all so confusing
I hear that... my A/C works perfect in both cars, but I'm getting bored of the lack of power, and am not quite motivated enough to do anything really serious to it. I also like the Paseo and look at them on autotrader once in awhile. They're kind of rare around here. Don't know if it's because they don't hold up as well, or there were just not many sold in this area. My tranny is on the way out, so that means I'll either have to get serious about a 5 speed swap or open my wallet wider than I care to and fix the slushbox.

The 5 speed Camry has a bit more pep then the auto, but IMO a 5 speed swap is not worth the huge effort and $ it takes....better off just getting another slushbox.
The Paseo is not that common a car out here in NYC either, but I just saw one on craigslist...so I got to thinkin'.
I figured the 1.5 liter engine must be great on gas, but it's only got 95 hp
It's also good for me cause it's really small and It would be easier finding parking out here in NYC where it can be hard sometimes.
