90 LE, oill leaks

My 99LE (love it!), leaks oil... a few drops overnight. I am planning to change the valve cover gasket. Is it a DIY or should I go to the mechanic? Also the gasket I bought did not have seal for spark-plug gaps, is that correct?

BTW, I had to get the harmonic balancer changed recently. It came apart.

Thanks!
Gopal

you can do it yourself... i did it myself in about 30 mins...only 4 bolts holding it on after you take out the spark plugs yes i bought it from the dealer and it did not come with the spark plug tube seals. you should also change the spark plug tube seal.. it's like 12$ for 4.

Thanks... both!

So, I have to purchase the spark plug seal separately. No probs.

Fredk, What is that black silicone?

BTW, it is a 1990 and not 99LE. Typo...

Would this be a good time to do the distributor leak too?

Quoted from fredk's thread on oil-leaks...

There's an O-Ring on the shaft that the distributor slips onto. Peel off and replace. Put it back together.
