To answer your first question: no.
I've also read the tranny swap threads, and all the info you need is there. There really isn't any "second opinions" necessary. Your best choice of tranny is listed there. If you're really serious about a 3S-GTE swap though, you may be better off just living with the slushbox until you're ready to do the engine swap.
BTW: removing your rear seat cusions and trunk carpet doesn't make your car any faster, it just makes it louder inside. And what's the point of the hood spacers?

You're circumventing an important safety feature. There are heavy duty hooks on each side of the firewall that (theoretically) keep the hood from coming thru the windshield and decapitating you in the event of a hard front-end collision.
I do like your intake and strut brace though.
