shave black rubber trim on body

Has anyone shaved the black rubber trim around the body on their camry? I know Joey did it on his, but he had a nice custom body kit on it. I want to know how it would look maybe with jst the erebuni side skirts. Heres a pic of Joey's to give you an idea.

I like the look of it without the rubber........but without it, your car is more vulnerable to parking lot dings and scratches.

Wow, it looks pretty nice. I guess the dark color + no rubber trim looks good in these case.

And I agree about the rubber protecting the door from dings. Yesterday a friend's friend open the door and hit the lower part of a light pole conduct box. Lucky, the rubber part was right where the door made contact, so no dents.

I think that camry looks wicked... I know, being a domestic car guy (think musclecars) it's wierd but it's not onnoxious and really clean. It's the obnoxious stuff that gives the import guys a bad name (as is the adrenaline junkie 16 year old bang shifting his riced civic dx around residential areas), and as car enthusiasts, we need to improve the image with tasteful modifications (and performance to go with the looks), and driving like sane, respectul individuals.

I did this to my camry. I did this because rust was forming all around the trim because the rubber seals are damaged. Once I finish sanding all the holes I had to fill it will be good as new.
