anyone have intrax springs installed? i bought some intrax springs for 15.50 on ebay. 1.5in drop. what are your guys thoughts on the springs? good bad? do they really drop 1.5?? should i just install the fronts? cuz 100lbs of audio in the rear kinda sinks factory things down a bit. lmk!!! thanks!
Does anyone know if the Intrax will work on the V6? I too will have some audio stuff in the trunk, but just a box for 2 12's, so no where near 100lbs? Never weighed it.
the way it sits currently tho. i have about 2in. before fender is at top of tire. and the front i have about 3in. so that is why i was curious.
I understand. In my old Camry with Intrax springs, I had about 100lbs of audio equipment in the trunk and it sat with about 1/2" to 3/4" gap front and rear. Without any weight in the trunk, it had a bit more gap and the front looked too low (in my opinion).
In my 'new' Camry, I have the same suspension cut a coil in the rear. This kept it even with the stock motor and no audio equipment and now with the bigger motor/transmission and the same 100lbs of audio equipment it rides even with no gap front or rear.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a set of these springs, I was wondering if any of you guys have some used ones your willing to sell, or know of where i can get a set for not too much, I'm in the process of restoring and repainting my 88 camry. I'd apreciate any info you guys can give me, thanks a lot,
200 bucks isnt a bad price, the only thing is that its gotta be shipped to Canada!... Thanks for the link atobe. Now i've got to decide because Charlie also gave me an idea, B&G makes springs for the gen2, there 216$ and drop 1.4 inches. what am i better off with if im going to buy?
I had the intrax springs on my old 2wd 88 camry and I really liked them. Even though they say 1.5 in drop its mor like two, but the car handled mutch better and rode great

I have Intrax springs with KYB GR2's on all four corners. I like the performance (although coil-overs would be better) for a street car and some autocross. Don't waste your time with the B&G's. I went on a two month wild goose chase to find them and it turns out B&G is having shipping problems and no one stocks them anymore (even though they all say they do). I probably called 6 or 8 companies before I finally just went with the intrax. 200 for a set of four isn't bad at all but you may find them cheaper on Ebay. Like white90dx said, the intrax sit a little high in the back and it will look like your car has a pretty steep rake until they settle a little bit. However, they do settle down and you should be fine with the audio equipment.
what if I dont have any audio equipment! lol. Maybe I just cut half a coil etc. Is cutting springs just taking a hacksaw blade to them and cutting equal amounts off the right and left?
I don't have any audio equipment in mine. The only thing that happens is that your rear end sits a little bit higher than your front. If you don't have any serious engine mods performance won't be affected. It just looks like your car has a little bit of a rake to it. If you want to cut 1/2 to 1 coil off the rears that will solve that problem. Just be sure to measure carefully, cut with a hacksaw (electric would be better) and then primer over the tip (saves on oxidation a little bit). Like I said though, it isn't really necessary. I would put them on first, see how they look and see how it drives (remember to do alignment and camber after you do suspension) and if you then want to cut them, you will have a better idea of how much to do so.
