Camry sequential shift

Has anyone gone to the Toyota website/discovery center and tried the 0-60 mph sequential shift demo? This is totally deceiving!
On the demo it says optimum shift point is at 5000 rpm's to achieve a 6.5 second 0-60 mph. One would assume that the accelerator is to the floor, as one can hear tires squealing at the take off. Go do it and see how good you are on the demo.
Okay now, go try it in your car. You cannot shift at 5000 rpm's! The transmission winds all the way out to the maxium! This is total in my opinion. Toyota will not address this issue either. Anyone have any comments?

no replied

I thought for sure someone out there would be interested in this thread. I guess not.
I called the tech support at Toyota and they said the car was suppose to shift at any given time when in the sequential mode. Said to bring it to the dealership. The sequential shift demo at the Toyota experience site is a FARCE!!!!! The car does not work that way.
Toyota...you are deceiving LIARS!!!

You're in the wrong forum! This is for the 1st and 2nd generation Camrys.
I can make my auto transmission shift at almost any RPM, but I have to manipulate the gas pedal in order to make it all happen.
