Question Speedo on 85 Camry

My speedo doesn't work. It is a digital one so I'm not sure where to start. I don't really know what to look for when it comes to the speedo. I know some cars its a broken wire or rebuilding a sensor in the tranny. Any help would be wonderful. Thanx.

The digital spedo is still driven by the cable so make sure its intact.
Second you can swap the entire cluster for the analog one.

Is is worth the analog one. Cause the digital looks kinda cool. If the cable isn't intact, where is the sensor?
