Rattles

My 89 camry has rattles out the wazzo.
i know the drivers door has one, pass door has one.
dash on drivers side and 2 on pass side dash.
one big one in headliner.
one at B piller on pass and driver side
one at A piller on pass and driver side
one on the trim that connects A and B piller on both sides.
the "O Sh!t" handle on pass side rattles. and......

2nd Generation

first option: use a hammer

second option: take off the offending panels and shim them along the adges with double faced tape or some thin slices of rubber membrane (you can get it at the hardware store) that way when you replace the clips or the screws the panel has something tight to sit against, thus eliminating the rattle! I went through this when i installed my subs, all 3600 watts of them!! good luck. If this doesnt work remember you can always resourt to the hammer....

i know i can resort to a hammer.....but dont feel thats the best option...i planned on pulling apart the interior and applying sticky foam strips all over.....felt that wouldve been annoying...but sounds like its what i need to do

We always called it the "Oh No! handle" or the "Hey watch this! handle"

As for your rattles, I've found hot melt glue will work wonders. Especially if it is a part that is rattling against a metal surface, because it's not that hard to get off if you need to.
