Diesel?

How possible is it to do a swap into a gen 2 camry (1990)? Where would I find the parts?

I think it would be possible, but the main concern like you said would be the parts. Another thing would be: no one has done it before, if you screw up during the swap who would you ask advice from? I have only seen one diesel camry in my life (and that was on the internet lol).

There was a diesel available in the Gen 1 Camry, but they are ultra-rare. I saw one on ebay several months ago. IF you could find one, a swap may not be out of the question. The Corolla was also available with a diesel. The one in the Camry was the same size, but it was turbocharged. Gen 2 Camrys were also available with a diesel, but I don't think any of them came to the states.

A diesel swap would be a great project, especially if you did a biodiesel conversion on it.
