2nd Generation key stuck in ignition

the key is not broken but i cant get it out, it won't go back to the off position

Same thing happened to me. I ended up using a pocket knife to get the broken piece out.

Damn...consider getting a new lock cylinder. I believe you can get a cylinder from Toyota that matches the original key, but you need to bring your VIN and proof of ownership and ID to prove it's you and not some car thief.

Correct me if I'm wrong!!
