Since the cap and wires on this car are a 1-piece unit, the only other thing elecrical it can be is the spark plug. Change it or switch it with another cylinder's plug to see if the miss moves to that other cylinder. If it does you know it is definitely that spark plug. If not and the same cylinder still does not fire, then you have to look at other possible causes. Those other causes could be a faulty fuel injector to that plug (injector itself or the wiring to it) or even a burned valve.

Do the spark plug switch or replacement first and let us know if that solves the problem.

That gap does seem kind of high to me. I would check the spec with the on-line generation 2 Camry manual stickied at the top of the General Camry Discussion forum. There may also be a sticker under your hood that specifies the correct gap. That gap may be too far for the spark to jump. That could be your problem.

You're welcome. Glad I could help.

As I thought further on this, I would also change the oil, just as a precaution. A lot of that unburned fuel from when that cylinder wasn't firing was probably making it's way past the rings and down in to the crankcase. An oil change now would be good insurance.

Ignore what I added above about the necessity for an oil change. I had a brain cramp when I wrote it. I'm so used to missfires being caused by failed ignition system components, that I was thinking along those lines. There would be no fuel entering that cylinder, since your injector's electrical connection wasn't plugged in. Sorry if I caused any confusion.
