heater core issue.
so my heater core is leaking... but its doing so wierdly.
coolant leaks inside the cabin ? no sweat....its the heater core thats screwed .....been there done that., but wait....been there done that means ive done it and so why is it leaking again after only a couple years use ?
interestingly the coolant is bubbling (and after a while kinda froths)when i open the rad to fill er up....which leads me to the final peice to the puzzle...ive turned the hot water bypass valve or whatever its called (just outside the firwall, you know what i mean), it apparently opens and closes visually, but it still leaks inside the car like alot when i have it closed....what the hell. ive done the heater core on a camry before and ts quite a job for people who dont like overboard electronics and/or plastic mechanisms. there are a couple new noises like a mild click click from its vicinity within the dash on occasion. oh yeah, also a peice of pale white silicone came up in the bubbles size of a dime. previous owner may have....? any help on any issue is much much appreciated....
ps : i was kidding about the no sweat...i do not want to do this job again (replace heater core)...its a giant job requiring tiny fingers and patience for plastic crap mechanisms..... winters coming here in canada and its trouble time for me and this camry again i guess. was a sweetheart for a while though.
