your motor mount filling questions answered!!
alright, so there was a thread recently with people asking about filling motor mounts...in regards to this, I WOULD NOT FILL A BROKEN MOUNT
that being said, this is a great way to repair an OLD mount that is moving too much, possibly dried out with surface cracks...or if you want to tighten that camry up and make it feel a lot more solid...therefore what i suggest is...
2 part urethane from 80 to 90 shore hardness .. available from Grangers or McMasters
You can get it in 2 forms. The trowlable (like ive used to fill holes in urethane body parts used) or the pourable (thinner) . If you used the thinner stuff you need to mask off one side of the mount so it doesnt just run everywhere.
Ive had good luck with urethane, it will also repair holes in a urethane bumper, though it will not sand easy, so use caution with that...it does have flex...experiment with it first and once its on try not to play with it, it will be real soupy then it will harden...give it atleast 24hrs to harden also...
there ya go, and good luck!! let me know if you have any questions and i will do my best to answer them
