i have a 86 camry dlx that i want to do somthing with i know im going to drop a larger engine in but not sure what way to go with it any suggestions

Mounts/wiring/everything is different. If you are referring to the turbo laser engine you may want to look into getting the 3s-gte (Toyota Turbo engine), which will be easier than putting a Mitsubishi turbo engine in a Toyota. But then again, anything swapped into 1st gen camry's will need some extensive modification.

yea mistyped larger but yea any ideas on what i should do to modify it

my suggestion for swapping the engine is change it with the exact same kind of engine that is in it and not to swap for a different kind even if it came in other cars of that model and year - in my experience many of the parts are always different! And swapping an engine out is hard enough without the added complications of trying to make a different one fit
