The one dowel is present, I get no chance to verify presence of other one below the distributor, but the flexplate cover seems to be aligned well.
I was also thinking, that dragging clutch will burn the ATF, considering that the problem was noticed by the owner 4000 mi ago.
The rebuild TC is painted blue so if it will overheat, the paint will change color.It still the same.
During the last oil change no metal chips was found in engine oil , as well as during the past oil changes.Today I will drive this car to get it hot and repeat my test.
The owner says that when the car is driven about 6 mi, the whine noise canges to the rattle. During the acceleration, the brief whine is present sometimes.
There is no noise at or after upshifting.
