2nd Generation ESC (one worth getting)

hi all,

reading through a car mag i bought recently they had an article on this companys electronic supercharger.

I know wat ur thinking, u get more boost from a hairdrier but this one is different. It uses a battery bank in the trunk to power the blower. 15 second hits of power and a 2 - 3 minute recharge time if a 200A alternator is used. Thats like having another new NOS bottle every three minutes, FREE!!

Because of high exaust temps from turbos they may cause damage, but this wont! yay, a tru power upgrade thats not gonna make the 3s-fe shit itself!

and for $2500 its not 2 bad compared to the grand ull pay on NOS each yr

so yea i thort it was pretty good.

nd also they got dyno and track stats to prove it

heres the link

For $2500, I'd buy a 3S-GTE....

2nd Generation

just strap a leaf blower to your intake, 200 MPH blast of air, good for 5 PSI of boost!!!! Wont cost you more than 100 bucks. Ive seen it done... its sad

I can get my hands on a 3rd gen 3S-GTE for $1500 w/tranny...

For $2500 based on output and reliability, this is an alternative that still has a long way to go. Secondly, you will only fry your engine if it's not built properly for forced induction.

Aside from building your existing engine the right way for forced induction or engine swap, there's no other proven alternative.

What you're presenting is a $2500 electric hairdryer that requires enough batteries equivalent to a hydraulic lowrider in order to work at it's optimum level. Yes, it may work even better on 42v systems, but unless you're planning to switch to a hybrid car as your next project car.....

...ultimately, it's your money, not mine...so to each its own....
