Thanks for those tips. I will find out about the timing belt and struts. I hope it still has a soft and supple ride. My 87' base Camry did.
About it being an "LE", I am not sure yet. That was not mentioned in the ad. I hope it is, because if it is a base or "DX" model, I will pass on it. I had two late 80s Camrys and as luck would have it, both were the very base models, which I really did not like. They had A/C, AM-FM-cassette, tilt, etc, but the trim was plain, ya know? I did finally get a 93' Camry after I had those, that was actually a LE V6 model. I still regret selling that car. I sold it because it needed new struts (they had collapsed and weakened) and the car had a harsh ride. New struts were $$$, so I sold it. Now I wish I had of just replaced them.
Getting back to my older Camrys- I liked the cars, but I did not like how plain they were. I always wanted a top of the line (at the time) "LE" model, but never was able to find one when I was looking for one. I was really wanting a 92-99 Camry, but all of the 92-96s I have found have oil leaks (as does my aunts 93' Camry) and I have not found a 97-99 that has suited me yet in the price I want to pay. If I get a 97-99, I want an "XLE" model.
Thanks again!
