few more questions

ok first, when i first looked about the forum i member someone mentioning that they got distributor cap n wires for gen 2 camry for $35, if anyone knows where to get it i would appreciate it because at my local autozone they want $49.99 for the low end ones and that is a little pricey for me at the moment.

and also, i have been having a strange problem with my car lately. i drive about 36 miles to school, 30-40 minutes on back roads, and if i go to leave early after car sits only an hour or so it wont crank. all i hear is a click. now i narrowed it down to either a bad fuse or a bad wire, because if i pull the fuses in the box under the hood it resets something and the car will start. could anyone maybe narrow it down further, maybe you had same problem? and i do not think it is the starter cause the previous owner replaced it about 3 weeks before i bought it, and i only have had it a month now.

Nope, $45USD is pretty much standard for cap 'n wires. If you're quick, you can get one from www.rockauto.com for around $22 plus shipping. They have wholesale deals on right now. The part is Beck/Arnley, so it's not a no-name or anything...

At least you don't have a V6. My cap and wires go for around $90 and they take forever to replace (stupid back bank of plugs).

That's about right for cap and wires.

As far as the starting problem goes, it sounds like it's still heat soak on the starter. It's not impossible that you got a bad starter...auto parts store will test it for you, I'd do that first.
