Feeler: Considering selling After Market 3SFE Header by Genie Headers
Hey guys,
I just swapped out my performance exhaust for a smog legal exhaust so I can visually pass smog. Now that it is off I am considering selling the aftermarket Genie Headers that I got from Australia. They are for the 3SFE and you will need to weld them to your existing exhaust, but I suggest going custom. If you do not want to go that route I could just throw in the piping I just took off for a small fee + shipping. After I took off the Headers I proceeded to media blast it (and the downpipe). I am in the process of primering it with high temp primer. I am planning on painting it blue, but before I do I want to know if anyone is interested in purchasing this set up from me. I will post pictures after all the primering is done. These headers are extremely rare so shoot me an offer (which is hard since you haven't seen the product yet).
Later,
Matt

Honda my A$$, you just can't kill a Yota...
Redbaron...I have never had any experience with the Pacesetter headers so I do not know how they would compare to the Genie headers. I can tell you that I experienced a more than noticeable increase in HP with the Genie Headers. I would say 10-15hp. I do not have a dyno test or anything, but check out the website that Tbay mentioned. You could shoot the guys over at Genie an e-mail to see how much HP they should put out. On a different note I finished primering the headers and downpipe, however I left for thanksgiving at my mom's before taking pics For the people in CA, I had the extra 02 sensor bung welded on the downpipe (an added incentive). Let me know if you have any more questions.
Later,
Matt

Greetings Matt.
If I may add to your response regarding the Pacesetter question for Redbaron:
Pacesetter -
Even the black coating sucks. It flakes off in your hand when handling out of the box.
i figured, i wasnt about to let kuler2.0 put a pacesetter on without me stripping and protecting it...Im still quite interested in this genie header, whats the word?

If you put a Pacesetter on, you're going to have to strip and repaint it with a few coats of high temp flat black.
From a flow perspective, Pacesetter is better than OEM stock, but Genie is better than Pacesetter...
yah i was going to media blast it with this black magic media (its pretty nice, and doesnt leave residue on surface) then shoot it with a few coats of VHT ceramic header paint...that stuff is nice, you bake it onto the header, it doesnt reduce temps much if at all but it will definitely not burn off and rust out your header...

Thanks for chiming in Toyrolla. I am still on vacation so the pics will have to wait. Sorry for being such a tease on this guys. This header could work on the Gen 3, but I am unsure if the piping route is similar or not. Pics will be up near the 1st of Dec!
Later,
Matt
