Hey guys,

I have a 90 Camry with 243K on it. I am going to get the timinig belt replaced for sure since it has been 63 k since the last on but I was wondering bout the drive belts should i get that done also?

Have any of you replaced it on your cars? when should they be replaced?

Thanks...

recommened is around 60k... replace your water pump while you're there too... it's cheap insurance... you can d/l the manual at camrymanuals.com if you want to do it yourself. i just let a shop do it.

If you replace the 2 drive belts at the same time you have the timing belt replaced, you should only pay for the parts cost of the drive belts. They have to come off to access the timing belt and have to be put back on in the reassembly process. There should be no additional charge for labor. A dealer will charge about $35 - $40 for the 2 belts.

Have them check the cam and crank seals while they're in there. Those are common oil leakers that you may not notice because they're under the timing belt cover.
