'89 Flexplate Installation

Well, it's so simple a thing -

my Talented Assistant so thoroughly cleaned the flexplate and the two "washers" that I can't see any wear-marks to ensure I put it back right.

Here's what I thing:

The washer with the nubbin, of course, goes against the end of the crank, where the nubbin slips into the 9th hole....

The flexplate is next, with the welds OUT - towards the transaxle.

The washer with the lip on it is next, with the lip out/up, so the edge curves away from the flexplate, towards the transaxle.

This makes sense to me, but it seems to fit with either the flexplate or the second washer reversed.

I quite want to be right for once - on my first try!

Any advice?

THANKS!
