I'm getting stars in my eyes just thinking about that...but, think rationally about the logistics of such a program. It would cost Nissan (or Toyota) a very large fortune to do this, and they would have no way of guaranteeing that these cars would stay on the road. An owner could sit it in the garage, or scrap it... I'm also a little leery of the story that they're doing this on 240SX's. Of all the models they could choose, those cars have been driven the hardest and would be the least likely to last longest. Sentras would fare much better.'
All in all, my spidey sense is calling this an urban legend.
