89 3SFE won't start - "no start"

I recently replaced my starter and alternator. My battery is a 7-year warranty battery that I've had for 2 years. Yesterday I had a problem starting my car. It wouldn't make any noise except for a humming noise and a tiny click noise. The humming, I believe, is the fuel pump in the rear of the car. Anyway, I had someone jump me and as soon as I hooked the jumper cables up, it started up right away with no problems. I even went out this morning and it started up fine. Sometimes when it's completely warm and I shut it off, it won't restart and it does the same "no start" thing. My battery power is great when the car's on but it feel like there's not enough power sometimes after I shut it off. I took a look at my battery terminals and my positive terminal is corroded pretty bad. Could it be a bad battery or bad connector? What do you all think?

I'd check the cables as you suggested. Positive and negative cables and the Starter cable. See the "New owner checking in" thead.
