all trac camry

soo pretty much the question is. is the car like super different. or does it still share the same frame, and what i mean by this is, can the parts be mixed and matches. if i had a norm camry, woudl the all trac parts be able to swap over? or a lot of cut and welding involved?

The complete floorpan and trunk is different. Front suspension is the same, as is pretty much everything else from the firewally forward. Rear suspension is not compatible. Interior is generally compatible except for carpet and trunk trim.

What are you looking to swap over?

The rear seat is different, the fuel tank is also different I have seen it done but yes it involves alot of cutting and welding.

Man, I gotta tell you: it's not worth it. An All-Trac came in to the bone yard where I work last month, and I spent a week debating whether I should strip it and convert one of my 2wd Camrys. It's just not something even most pros could do. You's have to cut/weld the drive shaft tunnel; you'd have to cut the trunk out of an All-Trac and weld it into your car, then mount the completely different tank and sending unit wiring harness; you'd have to replace every component of your rear suspension, as well as custom-mounting the transfer case; you'd have to swap out the wiring harness under the dash to allow for the AWD.

You may as well consider them totally different cars. They may as well be.

It's not a stupid question... just not a very worthwhile project for an average daily-driver.
