front axle(sv21)

Hi,
i got a problem with my front axle. there is a oil leak in it. well i bought the car a few days ago. its an auto.. tranny. have i got to change the complete gearbox for this issue or is there a simpler way i can get through it. also as i was taking it for a drive last night the indicator LIGHTS which is orange kept coming and going off. pls help

If it looks like this, then its the power steering high pressure hose.



I don't think the axles can "leak". If the boots are torn, then they should also be replaced.

The axle itself has grease inside the boot, not oil. Which side of the car is the leak on? Passenger side is usually an engine oil leak, dripping down onto the axle shaft.

Which light keeps coming on on your dash? Telling us it's orange isn't specific enough. Could be low brake fluid, charging problem, check engine light, or even low fuel...throw us a bone here.
