I looked pretty good, and I don't think I have
a TE1 terminal. Now what?

The TE1/E1 terminals are in a gray box over by the distributor and air filter area. It's about 1.5" x 3/4" and the top snaps up. Then use atobe's diagram or the one in the manual.

I found out that on 1988 Camry 4cyl.
the crossover connections are E1 and T. There is no TE1.
