What's the replacement interval for the distributor cap & wires?

Mines says 2002 on them so I'm thinking it's time for a replacement.

Also, they don't have replacement weatherstripping for our cars do they? There's wind noise by my window then I drive on the freeway.

i dont know what Toyota says but about 30,000 miles is customary. but pop off the distributor cap once or twice a year and inspect inside, if the contacts look very burned (compare to a new one if you are not sure what you are looking at), change the cap and rotor if in doubt.

Yes, they do make replacement weatherstripping. Google it, you want a set made just for your car so you dont have to do a lot of cutting, gluing and fitting. Toyota has it but it's safe to say it wont be the cheapest set you can find. If you install it yourself, use 3m weatherstripping cement only, no other kind is as good.

If you're curious about pricing, I am at a dealership in Utah currently getting my plugs, rotor and cap/wires replaced. I bought the dealership parts, had bad luck with parts from Napa, for $115 after tax. And they said it would only take about 30 minutes but they'll charge an hour of labor. So we'll see how it turns out.

I thought most of the noise came from the top of the windshield.
