2nd Generation Gen 2 Bumpers: Interchangable or No?

So I'm buying an 88 LE from work because of its 5-speed set-up (I hate automatics, don't know why I let my fiancée convince me to buy one). I'll be welding new quarter panels on and replacing fenders. While I'm at it I want to swap-out the stupid 2-piece bumpers with one-piece bumpers.

Here's my latest victim:

My question is: has anyone swapped the 2-piece with 1-piece bumpers on a gen2 Camry? I want to be sure all the brackets are the same before I do it... they look the same from memory, but...

Any ideas?

EDIT: I know the car looks like crap, but I started it up today (in -20 degree temperatures) after it had been sitting for over two weeks. It fired on the second crank. Mechanically, it's the best Camry I've seen in years...and it's only costing me around $250.

Search for my thread, I don't know if the pictures are still up though, as I've moved my Photobucket pictures around. I had to use a couple of zip ties but they're fine.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Really, I can make them work whatever it takes. It's just nice to hear that I can keep the extra workarounds to a minimum...

And Astrovannin, I need those rims for the meantime, but if I can find a decent price on another set of Celica rims and tires, I'll consider selling them on the cheap this summer (when I'm next driving down to southern Ontario).
