Gen 2 Remote Starter

Hey guys. I just bought basic a remote starter from Best Buy a couple days ago, and I wanted to know if there's any kinda tutorials on how to install one. I've read the instructions that came with the starter, but it would be helpful to have some that were specific to a Gen 2 Camry (I have an 89 Camry LE). Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've tried searching around. I am pretty good with electronics and electrical, so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks alot.

Alex

I have to be honest: I would pay a reputable shop to put it in. At least you would have a guarantee of some sort on the install.

I work at a scrap yard, and you'd be sick if you knew how many older vehicles get scrapped because of remote starter and alarm problems. One of those things that just isn't a DIY...

Alright thanks for the advice, I'll look into getting Bestbuy or one of those places to install it.

yeah just get it done at a place with some sort of warranty. and it's less hassle that way. my uncle had an alarm installed at the local dealership even. and it still F-ed up the car he got so fed up with it he just gave it to me. and sometimes it still takes me 10 mins to start the car, cause sometimes it just kills the starter for no reason.

Yeah, all these problems boggle my mind. Monkeys have looked down on our planet from orbit, yet we cannot seem to design a fool-proof remote starter. *sigh* damned silly...
