car pulling to sides

When just cruising at a steady speed it ok but when you press the brake it pulls to one side, just a little though, and while accelerating it pulls to the other. Any thoughts?

2 thoughts come to my mind. Wheel misalignment and brake drag. If your wheels were misaligned, your car would pull one side during cruising.

My bets are on brake drag. Do you also feel pulsating while braking?

Most likely a bad front swaybar to control arm bushing. You can get replacement arms with bushings and ball joints on eBay for pretty cheap. Get both sides, replace the control arms and get an alignment.

Yes that was another ? I had. When applying brakes and the car is still moving, like say above 20mph, the steering wheel shakes a little bit and the front makes enough noise to where it is noticeable but its not loud.

sounds like a brake job is needed. the vibration in the steering wheel is most likely caused by warped brake rotors caused by uneven wear. one way to check is to remove one wheel, and check the brake rotor for grooves.

BTW, if the noise you are hearing is metal to metal, you need new brake pads as of last week

I checked the brakes yesterday and the pads were almost new. I'm going to try to get time today and take the calipers off and check the rotors.

you should be able to check for grooves without removing the calipers.

the side that's facing you is easy. for the inside rotor, just feel across the rotor from the center out. if you feel lines across the rotor, they should be ground for smoothness.

Chances are, you may just need to bleed the brake lines.

I bled the brake lines and it seemed to help. I don't notice the steering wheel shake anymore and it dosen't seem to pull much either
