automatic transmission problem

Hi!
i have a ATF leak on my tranny. its coming out of the throttle cable fixed to the tranny. the plate is broken i guess. to replace the cable, will i have to remove the tranny from the tranny sump or can i replace the o-ring by taking the off only the outer cable from the side of the engine. pls help

To replace the cable you need to remove the valve body. (The tranny stays on the car).

hi!
i didnt have to remove the valve body the slip the cable in. anyway thanks.
i filled the gearbox with atf. but i can actually see the level from the dipstick. coz when i put it in it doesn't give me an exact level. is the oil too thin? it does not stay on the dipstick.
