Gas mileage=~22MPG :(

What should I do to get better gas mileage? I do a mix of highway and city driving. Details:

Air filter doesnt look dirty
Cleaned out TB
Good alignment
Recent sparkplugs
Tranny: Because #2 solenoid is out, it oftens revs to 3k a lot when just rolling out. I think this is fine because newer cars do this and I have read a lot about how mild throttle-driving will get better mileage rather than granny driving.

Cap&wires next or fuel filter?

pull out the 02 sensor and rev it up and see if a big blast of hot air comes out the hole

What does this help track down? I'm curious because my Camry gets shoddy gas mileage, too. It is winter so it spends a lot of time warming up and defrosting but it's getting about 10 MPG less than my Civic.

Ah, gotcha!

Not to hijack the thread, but my Camry seems to be lacking in low-end power. Things don't happen until the motor winds up, could that be a clogged cat?

Check the cold start injector system. If it is constantly leaking it will add unneeded gas into the system. I'd check the switch first (easier) and then the injector itself.

Check your vacuum hoses for cracks & leaks.

Check your temp sensors. If the ECU thinks the engine is cold it will provide a richer mix.

It's around 30-35 like the sticker in the door jamb reccommends. I'll try that O2 sensor test.
